OK guys....it's all over...

and will cost the tax payer north of £197m to wind it down...see here!! https://staga303.blogspot.com/2024/12/robbing-peter-to-pay-paul.html

Following the announcement from Rachel Reeves, that the A303 Tunnel project was cancelled, just 2 weeks after labour took office, there was still a chance that while the DCO remained live, it could be resurrected at some later date, but I'm afraid from the letter sent today from the Secretary of State for Transport, you're stuck with the queues, the traffic fumes, and the bad tempers.
Don't mind saying....I worked my socks off for this Project 24/7 and all for free. Now feel I wasted 11 years of my life through passion and sheer grit!! This is what Google says for the meaning of "Sheer Grit"..."unwavering determination and courage in the face of difficulty or hardship. It describes a person's strength of mind"....that was me!!
We got out when we could to a lovely part of the country - the borders of Scotland and England. Close, but not too close to the M6 with Carlisle our nearest town....A nice climate with a good mix of warm sun, rain and the occasional hoolay....but peace and quiet and time to relax!
